Youth Month
CLICK ON THE CALENDAR TO ENLARGE

Picture
For the last 18 years, Day One has brought the community together to provide a month-long calendar of fun, safe, and enriching activities for youth. Youth Month seeks to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse, and related problems such as violence and STDs, by increasing the number of positive and accessible activities in the community. This endeavor was a result of numerous local youth-conducted focus-groups and studies that identified August as a “high-risk” month because it is time when summer school, jobs, and camps are at an end. Pasadena was the first city to proclaim August as Youth Month and we are the only community with such a program nationwide.

BECOME A YOUTH MONTH SPONSOR Join us by sponsoring an activity, incentive, and/or transportation so that we may continue to keep our youth safe by providing them with as many free and low cost activities as we can during the month of August.Want to help? Here's how... click here
